Allume welcomes energy-technology leader Dr Phil Blythe to our Board of Directors – bringing deep expertise in distributed energy, software-led grid innovation and climate-tech commercialisation.
Phil joins us at an important moment: the launch of SolShare 2 – our world-first technology that connects apartment residents to shared rooftop solar – to help us rapidly scale SolShare production and add enhanced battery integration.

A track record of innovation in clean energy
Phil has spent more than a decade proving that smart-tech can solve complex energy challenges.
Best known as the founder and former CEO of GreenSync, Phil shaped one of Australia’s early platforms for distributed energy resources, long before grid flexibility became a mainstream focus.
Today, he continues to champion clean energy solutions through his work with Climate Tech Assembly and CAPA Intelligence, focusing on building a cleaner, more resilient grid.
With a strong understanding of exactly where technology, energy markets and customer needs intersect, we’re excited to have Phil’s expertise for the next stage of Allume’s growth.
Driving the next phase of shared solar
As more homes electrify, apartment buildings remain one of the most underserved sectors in the energy transition. We are changing that by making solar accessible to multi-dwelling communities, and Phil’s experience will help guide Allume through our next phase of growth.
"Allume is solving one of the most practical challenges in the energy transition: how to make rooftop solar feasible for apartment residents, a significant and growing segment of the population that has been historically underserved", says Phil. "The opportunity is significant, both in Australia and globally, and I’m looking forward to supporting the team as they continue to scale."

Our CEO and Co-Founder, Cameron Knox, notes that Phil’s appointment adds valuable strategic depth to the company:
"Phil has been at the forefront of distributed energy innovation in Australia for more than a decade. His understanding of how technology, energy markets, and customer needs intersect will be incredibly valuable as Allume continues to grow. We’re glad to welcome him to the Board." – Cameron Knox, Allume CEO
With growing resident demand, key industry partnerships and increasing government support, the momentum behind shared solar is accelerating. Phil’s experience strengthens our leadership team at a pivotal time, ensuring we are well-positioned to help more communities take control of their energy future.
Welcome to the team, Phil!
