SwitchedOn: Once an afterthought, apartments are now leaders in solar and battery innovation

In an interview with Renew Economy’s Anne Delaney for their SwitchedOn Australia podcast, our CEO and co-founder, Cameron Knox, discusses what has been one of the biggest challenges in Australia’s clean energy transition: making rooftop solar and batteries accessible for people living in apartments.

But SolShare is changing that.

In the episode, Cameron explains how SolShare enables a single rooftop solar system to be shared across multiple apartments. The conversation also looks ahead to the next major opportunity: shared batteries.

With the launch of SolShare 2, Allume is extending the shared solar model to battery storage, helping apartment buildings consume more of the solar generated by their rooftop system.
