pv magazine Australia has published an op-ed by our CEO and co-founder Cameron Knox, setting out where Victoria should start in closing the solar divide between homeowners and apartment residents. The piece points to Victoria's parliamentary inquiry into renewable and affordable energy for apartments, which found distinct and complex barriers locking 271,000 apartment households out of the savings homeowners already enjoy.

Drawing on our experience as the world's only provider of technology that lets apartments share a single rooftop solar system, Cameron makes the case for practical fixes, including lowering Victoria's strata voting threshold for sustainability upgrades from 75% to 50%, in line with NSW's approach:

"As the world's only provider of technology that lets apartments share a single rooftop solar system, we have a clear view of the difference. In the first year of New South Wales's (NSW) Solar for Apartment Residents program, we saw roughly 75% more apartment solar projects approved for funding in that state than when Victoria's apartment solar rebate began."
