The Federal Government yesterday announced that Allume is one of 14 innovative projects to receive funding under the $30 million Grid Enhancing Technologies (GET) Grant Program, part of the Government's Rewiring the Nation initiative to strengthen the national electricity grid.
The announcement was covered by The National Tribune, The Canberra Times and Renew Economy, reporting that Allume will use the funding for shared solar and battery optimisation, unlocking cheaper bills and energy security for the millions of people living in apartments.
Our CEO & Co-Founder, Cameron Knox, explained what the funding means for Allume customers:
"This funding will support Allume in bringing apartments to the forefront of battery adoption. It will enable customers to further maximise their savings from a shared battery by incorporating their tariff information, giving them ultimate control over their energy and contributing to grid stability."
