How the shared solar calculator works

Tell us a few details about your building – how many units and storeys it has, whether there's a common meter board and which state it's in. The calculator then gives you a quick estimate of what our SolShare technology could do for your building, sharing one rooftop solar system so everyone gets their fair share.

What the estimate includes

• Roughly how much each unit could save on its electricity bill each year
• Roughly how much carbon the system could avoid each year
• The estimated total cost, and what's left to pay after any state grant your building may qualify for

Why it's an estimate

Every building is different. The calculator uses typical figures, so your actual results will depend on your roof, which way it faces and your building's electrical setup. Shading, roof space taken up by air conditioning or lift equipment, and older switchboards can all change the numbers. Grant eligibility also depends on your building meeting each program's requirements.
