Sustainability

Our vision of a world where everyone can access clean energy spans so much further than bringing energy equality to the world. Climate change is one of humanities biggest challenges. The SolShare is a powerful tool in reducing global carbon emissions, enabling solar to be installed across the world’s cities. Our dedication to fighting this cause flows through everything that we do, from cycling to work to buying the energy we don’t get from our solar system from renewable sources.

The climate crisis can be won if we all work together and solve problems that matter.

Positive impact on the planet

The SolShare is a world-first technology for enabling rooftop solar on multi-tenant buildings. Every building that installs a SolShare could not have had rooftop solar otherwise. This means that the SolShare has additional impact beyond the existing trajectory of the rooftop solar industry.

This is important because rooftop solar is a major part of the energy transition from a grid dependent on centralised, fossil-fuel energy sources to decentralised renewable sources. Multi-tenant buildings make up a large fraction of the housing, commercial and retail spaces in our cities. Ensuring they can support a clean energy transition is crucial for combatting climate change.

Each year, a typical SolShare will

35 MWh
produce 35 MWh of electricity

35 – 40 %
typical grid-electricity reduction of 35 – 40 %

28 tonnes
reduce CO2 emissions by 28 tonnes
